Lisa Marie Linger

Lisa Santiago Linger has been dancing since the age of 4. As a child, Lisa trained in classical ballet, tap, modern, and jazz at the Sandhills Ballet Theatre, High Point Ballet, and North Carolina Academy of Dance Arts which led to opportunities to also train with professionals from the North Carolina School of the Arts, East Carolina University, North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble, and The Joffrey Ballet. While a student at The University of North Carolina, she continued taking classes at the Chapel Hill Ballet School and performed with three dance organizations on campus. While in graduate school for couples and family counseling, Lisa taught dance classes through a local church ministry and was given an opportunity to be a dancer in a music video for Emily and Jonathan Martin. After taking a small hiatus from dance to focus on a career in mental health, Lisa dove deep into her dance roots again and joined City Modern Ensemble in 2018.
